Milan welcomed many of the biggest names in fashion as they unveiled their fall 2006 collections. While some houses stuck with what they do best (Pucci won raves with plenty of prints; Roberto Cavalli bewitched with his signature sass), many ventured into new territory. Prada was serious with a dark, strong palette, Max Mara had a little fun with gold-striped dresses, and Armani successfully explored the Hitchcock era. Always provocative, Dolce & Gabbana left a lasting impression with their all-white, all-knit, Christmas-themed show.
