Who are some of your favorite designers? Halston is one of my favorite designers because of the simple, classy, and timeless elegance of his designs.
What do you do when you want to feel glamorous and/or when you want to pamper yourself? To me, a Turkish hamam is one of the most amazing experiences. You enter an amazing marble room, where you lie on a marble slab and someone scrubs, polishes, and cleanses your entire body. It is perfect.
Who is your favorite model to work with? Nataliya Gotsii. I like the way she moves; her proportions are beautiful, and she wears the clothes wonderfully.
Which celebrity would you like to dress? Angelina Jolie, because I find her to be an amazing human being and I love her dedication to charity and fascination with India. She is also very beautiful.
Where is your favorite place to vacation? My very favorite place is Kauai, and I have been traveling there for the last 10 years. I love the tranquility. It is peaceful, beautiful, understated, and family-friendly.
When did you realize you wanted to be a designer? When I was 12 years old! I was fascinated
with my mother’s style. She was always so well-dressed. And also my father—he dressed glamorous society ladies in India.
At what moment did you realize you had finally made a name for yourself? I do not perceive that I have made a name for myself yet.
