Which celebrities wear your designs
best and why?
Nicole Richie and Mischa Barton both
look amazing in our designs. Both girls
are so casual and chic at the same
time and have no problem carrying off
bold prints in a not-so-over-the-top way.
Who are you dying to dress
and why?
Would love to get my hands on some
of the true minimalists out there like
Gwyneth or Angelina. Both women are
obviously fabulous—I would love to see
them pull off color and prints but still
maintain that clean chic air about them.
Besides your show, what is your
favorite part of New York
Fashion Week?
I looove Fashion Week—the energy is
amazing, tons of buzz, and so exciting
all around.
What are your favorite:
Foods: Mexican … such a lame
answer, but it really is the best.
Drinks: I’m from Georgia—Jack Daniels
and Coca-Cola is fine
Travel destinations: Sea Island,
Georgia, an amazing little island off the
coast. A beautiful resort, so exclusive,
and a true getaway.
Television Shows: Project Runway and
Entourage. Other than that, I’m a
mother of 3- and 6-year-old boys, so
it’s all about early Lindsay Lohan
on the Disney Channel.
Places to party around the world:
Hong Kong is my favorite spot for
going out; I lived there for four years,
and the nightlife does not compare
with anywhere else in the world. Lan
Kwai Fung is definitely the expat
hangout, where you can watch
Chinese Elvis sing, have drinks in the
street, and hang out all night.
What are some of your
guilty pleasures?
Three-hour naps on Saturdays with
my kids.
Where do you shop?
I’m a huge online shopper with NET-A-
PORTER. They’re getting about 70
percent of my purchases at the
moment. Other than them, I pretty
much contain my shopping to my trips
to Europe. Paris is where I tend to buy
up for the season.
What was the last party you threw?
My 6-year-old-son’s birthday party—racecar theme. We’ve got an amazing house in Greenwich, rolling lawn, tennis court, and swimming pool, the perfect place for a kid’s dream party. I don’t think it’s interesting enough for fashion write-ups.
