After putting the finishing touches on his fifth album, Best I Ever Had, Gavin DeGraw celebrated with some of his biggest fans at the New York Sheraton Thursday night.

The private acoustic show was another SPG moment for members of the Starwood Preferred Guest loyalty program. Members can transfer their Starpoints into amazing opportunities suited to their interests, providing Glam a seat at the spectacular.

Walking into the Metropolitan ballroom, guests were initially greeted with a guitar signed by the singer-songwriter that would go to one lucky winner who tagged their Twitter and Instagram posts with special hashtags. Guests and celebs like Stanley Tucci were wined and dine with delectable delights like pan-seared scallops and kelp polenta and lamb burgers as well as bottles of the hotel’s select wines – all of which received Wine Spectator ratings of over 90.

Once the DJ turned the music down, everyone shifted over to the next room within the ballroom to sit on a sea of white couches surrounding the stage. DeGraw sat at the piano with his guitarist and drummer and greeted everyone – many were fans who had attended his Jones Beach show July 23rd –  warmly noting that he was going to enjoy the wine selection as much as everyone else as he kicked into his hit “Sweeter.”

The Dancing with the Stars alumnus played a few tracks from the upcoming album, including “Make a Move,” much to everyone’s delight. As a few of his fans stood up to dance along to the beat, DeGraw jumped into the crowd during “Who’s Gonna Save Us,” snapping selfies with fans along the way. He even stuck around the crowd as he performed his first smash single, “I Don’t Want To Be.” He went on to play more of his classics, including “Follow Through” and “Soldier” well into the night. The winner of the autographed guitar could easily consider it the cherry on top to an amazing night!
