I admit I spent most of my adolescence (and even my adult life) with my headphones on with Pink on regular rotation. I recently got the chance to see my teen idol in action on her Truth About Love Tour, and she’s a true showstopper! We also got the inside scoop on how to get her tour look from her makeup artist since 2006 Yvette Beebe, who’s works her magic in just 20 minutes before show time. Talk about easy, breezy!
With Pink’s many costume changes, Beebe has to sometimes adjust the look for each outfit. “She has an array of costumes, we needed to keep the look soft and/or smoky to go with every chance,” she explained. “Backstage between songs and set-up, I have about 15-30 seconds.”
To start the look prior to hitting the stage, Beebe used CoverGirl’s Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation to last throughout the show and set it with the Clean Pressed Powder Oil Control. She then sculpted Pink’s face with the Cheekers blush in Golden Tan before making her cheeks pop with the Classic Color Blush in Natural Glow at the apples and blending out and up. She added a highlight with a dot of the Eye Enhancers in French Vanilla at the tops of her cheekbones.
For the eyes, Beebe started with the Smoky ShadowBlast in Onyx Smoke for the classic smoky eye and lined the upper eye with LiquilineBlast in Black Fire, going in between the lashes for an instant voluminous look. She set the look with the Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadows in Snow Blossom for the lids and brow arch and Shimmering Onyx for the outer corners and top lid and contoured with Tapestry Taupe. She also lined Pink’s waterline on top with the Onyx side of the Smoky ShadowBlast and lined the lower one with the Perfect Point Plus Eye Liner in Mink. She curled lashes before adding a few swipes of the Clump Crusher Mascara by LashBlast in Very Black.
