Last night’s Costume Institute Gala drew the biggest designers in the business along with Hollywood’s brightest stars. Amongst the gorgeous gowns and shimmering jewels, we fell in love with Jessica Alba’s look. With a glimmering gown by Michael Kors and gorgeous side-swept hair, we couldn’t tear our eyes away. Luckily, we got the rundown on how to get the look for ourselves from Frederic Fekkai stylist Renato Campora. Inspired by one of the subjects of the exhibit, Elsa Schiaparelli, he crafted a glamorous asymmetrical style that we can all try.
Starting with wet tresses, apply Fekkai Coiff Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel throughout the hair and create a strong side part. Dry the hair with a round brush to create volume and shine. Then use a one-inch curling iron to create the curls and body of the look. Brush through the curls to build and soften the waves from the side part. Next use a small amount of Fekkai Advanced Brilliant Glossing Cream to define the waves and add lasting shine. Seal in the style with the Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hairspray, and you’re set for elegant evening out on the town.
