Over the weekend Emma Stone stepped out on the streets of New York for the premiere of The Croods, a prehistoric road trip for a family exploring their new world. Chanel celebrity makeup artist, Rachel Goodwin brought Stone into the modern age with a soft youthful look for complement her Lanvin dress. “Since it was day time premiere I wanted Emma’s makeup to feel fresh and playful,” Goodwin explained. “I used warm metallic to create a softer version of the smoky eye and paired with with a soft beige on her cheeks and lips.”
She started by prepping the skin with Chanel’s Sublimage Essential Regenerating Fluid around the perimeter of the face before working the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in Vanilla from the center of the face and fanning outwards with a beauty blender sponge. She moved on to the eye with the ColorStay 16H Eyeshadow Quad in Addictive into her lash line and into the crease before slicking on a bit of the Illuminance Crème Shadow in Precious Metals over the shadow. She curled Stone’s lashes before swiping on two coats of the PhotoReady 3D Volume Mascara in Black in the top and bottom lashes. She then sculpted the cheeks with a sheer powder blush before adding a subtle flush of color by dabbing the ColorBurst Lip Butter in Creamsicle on the apples of her cheeks. She finished the look nude pout with a coat of the ColorStay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Runway and a dab of Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine in Chic.
