Freida Pinto had an almost sweet smolder about her as she host last night’s Vanity Fair & L’Oréal Paris’ DJ Night in honor of 10 x10 and the documentary Girl Rising, which focuses on the obstacles 9 girls from around the world face in order to get an education and set themselves free. The brand ambassador sported a graphic cut Antonio Berardi dress, but it was her textured ponytail and smoldering eye look that we adored. We turned to hairstylist Robert Steinken and got the rundown on her makeup look that many are sure to attempt this pre-Oscars weekend.
Steinken was inspired by the modern look of her dress and went for a “young and effortless yet stylish and chic” hairstyle. He started with damp hair and applied L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Volume Boosting Mousse from roots to ends. He also added in the EverStyle Volume Root Lifting Spray to the roots at the crown and bang areas before blow drying her hair completely with a round brush. He then created a side part and pin curled the hair with a large curling iron. Once the curls were cool, he gently brush out her hair and added shine to the mid-lengths and ends with the EverSleek Precious Oil Treatment. He pulled her hair into a loose, high ponytail, wrapping a small section around the band to hide the elastic and sealed the style with a generous blast of the brand’s Elnett Satin Strong Hold Hairspray.
For her date-worthy makeup, she started with a few coats of the L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Power Volume Mascara in Black Smoke. Next She created a smoky eye with the help of the Colour Riche Shadow Quad in Perfume ID before adding a little definition with the Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner in Black. She added a gentle flush to the apples of the cheeks with the Visible Lift Color Lift Blush in Berry Lift and made her pout pop with the Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain in Lilac Ever After.
