There was a collective gasp as soon as Jennifer Lawrence stepped onto the red carpet in Dior Haute Couture. Her swept back tresses and classic mani helped to transform her from Hunger Games leading lady to a true Oscar contender for Silver Linings Playbook. Luckily for us, we can capture the look for ourselves thanks to celebrity hairstylist Mark Townsend and manicurist April Foreman.
For the updo, Townsend started by applying Dove’s Nourishing Oil Care Anti-Frizz Serum to her damp locks and combed it through for moisture and shine. Next, he added a large dollop of the Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse and blow dried it with a large round brush. For added texture and shine, Townsend added a nickel sized amount of the Frizz-Free Shine Cream-Serum in his hands and raked it through the hair. Next he took random pieces from the side and loosely twisted them and pinned them together at the back of the head with eight bobby pins in crosses. He then took the rest of the hair and gathered it into a loose bun and polished off the look with the Strength & Shine Extra Hold Hairspray.
To transform her tips, Foreman complemented the gorgeous gown with CoverGirl’s Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss in Forever Frosted as Lawrence wanted something understated and classic for her trip down the red carpet.
