Jessica Chastain channeled Jessica Rabbit when the hit the red carpet in a fiery Alexander McQueen. Inspired by the sultry red number and sparkling Harry Winston jewels, hairstylist Renato Campora and makeup artist Kristofer Buckle exchanged her signature Veronica Lake waves and classic red lipstick for something a little less formal.
For the subtle natural wave, Capora prepped her damp tresses with Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Boost & Lift Foaming Air Mousse for volume. Next he spritzed the Heat Protect & Shine Spray to protect her strands while blow-drying it with a round brush. Then he gave her a side part for extra volume before curling her ends for ten seconds with a 1 ½-inch curling iron. After the curls cooled down, he brushed them out with a thin comb and sealed the style by spraying the Extra Firm Hold Hairspray on a brush and smoothed the back hairs around her face and an extra mist for good luck.
To give her that natural radiance, Buckle first used the Yves Saint Laurant Touche Éclat in B40 to spot conceal and highlight the high point of her face. He added a slight flush to her cheek with the new Lancôme Blush in Peche Joue-Joue. Next he added some oomph to Chastain brows with the Giorigio Armani Eye Brow Defining Pencil. He first defined the outer corner of her eye lid with Lancôme’s Color Design Eye Shadow in Snap and blended from the inner corner to the middle of the lid in Filigree. Next he used the Liner Design Gel Eye Liner in Black Fishnets to give the look of full lashes before swiping on a few coats of the Hypnôse Star Mascara. Finally for her lips, Buckle applied YSL’s Rouge Volupté Shine in Rouge in Danger.
