Get the Look: Sultry Street Style Beauty

By  November 08, 2012

We’ve always admired gorgeous glas who get snapped on the streets of the Big Apple, but never thought we’d ever become one of them. A few weeks ago, we gave you a sneak peek at the sultry look we sported for our own shoot with the Street Peeper himself, Philip Oh and P&G. But now we’re going to give you the rundown on how to get the look yourself!

I initially flat-ironed my locks the night before to save on time, but when I sat down with Wesley O’Meara at the Hotel Gansevoort in the Meatpacking District, it went out the window. He first refreshed my tresses with a hearty helping of Pantene’s Silky Moisture Whip. He added in the Straighten & Smooth Crème before giving me a rough blowout for volume and movement. He then curled my strands with a large-barreled curling iron and pinned up my curls and released them once they were cool to create Veronica Lake waves that we adored. To ensure I wouldn’t frizz as soon as I stepped outside, he polished it off with the Anti-Humidity Spray.

Next I sat in the chair of celebrity makeup artist Jake Bailey who gave me a smoldering look I’m still mad for! He started evening out my skin with Covergirl & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation in two shades to contour my skin to sculpted perfection. For my eyes, he first brushed on the Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Eyeshadows in Mink all over the lid and then applied Swiss Chocolate. Next he lined my top lid with the Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner in black before smudging the outer corner for added smoke. He then went back in with the Lineblast 24-Hour Eyeliner in black, curled my lashes, and applied two sets of false lashes to each eye, bringing the eye look together with a few swipes of the brand’s Lashblast Mascara in very black. He then dusted a bit of the Cheekers Blush in classic pink for a rosy glow. For a lip look with staying power, he first lined my lips with the LipPerfection Lipliner in Radiant and then glazed things over with the Queen Collection Lip Gloss in Starlet Sand.

After gawking at my transformation for a solid five minutes, I headed outside with Oh and strutted between Cielo and Serafina on Little West 12th St. I soon discovered a graphic gilded knuckle ring and a good hair twirl or two can work wonders for a street-style shot. Now I’ll keep eyes in the back of my heads for any camera the next time I’m sporting an exceptional ensemble!
