Perhaps Max Azria prefers the same, as the look at his AW11 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runway show mirrored just that. Models strolled the catwalk with slicked back hair paired with a flawless canvas, bold brows, and a pearly pink pout.

The twist? Gold lids. ”It’s 20′s meets 70′s—glamorous eyes take center stage against an otherwise natural beauty look,” says Charlotte Miller, key makeup artist for BCBGMAXAZRIA and Global Makeup Artist for Maybelline New York, who used Maybelline’s newest Eye Studio Color Plush Slik Eyeshadows in Give Me Gold and Call Time.

Both hues will be available for purchase in Fall 2011.
