Get the #NYFW Look: Costello Tagliapietra

Costello Tagliapietra celebrated the modern girl this season, although the makeup and hair was a bit of a 1970s throwback. Feeling the retro vibe? MAC Cosmetics Senior Stylist Victor Cembellin gave the dish on how you can achieve the look. “The bright orange lip is a new MAC lip pencil that hasn’t come out yet called ‘Entertain Me’ and then we used MAC clear lipglass. The eyes are a pastel blue-gray and  outside the lid we used a seafoam green to give off an old-school vibe that is still young and contemporary. It’s all about reinventing a classic.”

As for the hair, Nelson Vercher of Rita Hazan provided three steps to get the height and super volume seen on the runway.
1. Apply Phyto mousse on wet hair and Phyto volume at the root to create texture and lift.
2. Rough dry the hair, concentrating on the root for maximum volume and smoothing ends.
3. Tease at the root, use a barrel curling iron at the ends to create subtle waves, and smooth the look with a hairbrush.
