Girl’s Night In: Dirty Dancing® and Dessert

Girl's Night In: Dirty Dancing and Dessert

The classic girls’ night in has three elements: a movie, dessert, and nails! We know which film we’ll be picking this summer—the cult-classic Dirty Dancing® is 25 years old! Although it made its debut in the 1980s and is often associated with ’80s campiness, the action takes place in the early ’60s, and the soundtrack features some amazing pop hits from the era. “Frances “”Baby” Houseman (played by Jennifer Grey) is vacationing one summer in the Catskills resort when she meets Johnny, the hotel dance instructor. It’s a story of two kids from opposite sides of the tracks but nevertheless an irresistible and charming summer romance.

It’s the ideal movie to watch with your girlfriends this summer and indulge in some our other favorite girls’ night in treats like manicures, pedicures, and desserts. Here’s everything you’ll need for a great girls’-night-in cinema night.

1. Dirty Dancing® DVD, $15.99
2. Skinny Cow Best of Both Swirleds Sandwich
3. Sephora Collection Deluxe Pedicure Kit, $25
4. Essie Nail Polish in Lights, $8
