Glam Beauty Board: Spring Beauty Essentials

By  February 28, 2012

We recently sent our fabulous Glam Beauty Board a box filled with our favorite products for Spring. We wanted to share all the products that we will be using this spring, items we brought with us to New York Fashion Week, and new items we couldn’t wait to get their opinions on.  The Beauty Board Box contained everything from our favorite makeup wipes, to eyeliner, to dry shampoo! Here’s everything you’ll need to step into spring with a fresh face plus reviews by the Glam Beauty Board:

1) L’Eau de Chloe

“First up is L’Eau de Chloé ($65 – $85), the just launched lighter version of the original Chloé scent. If you could bottle spring, I’m pretty sure it would smell like this. It’s made with 22% rosewater, but with added citrus notes taking the lead it’s more of a green scent than a floral. It’s crisp, fresh and utterly pretty. The vintage looking bottle has me in a tizzy too.” -We Heart This

2) Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment Advanced Therapy

“I’ve gone through a few tubes of the Sugar Lip Treatment from Fresh in my time, the original cult-fave lip balm is nearly worth its weight in gold. I know that when my lips are in crisis, I can turn to it for the speedy healing of cracks and a surge of moisture when they’re as dry as the Sahara. But I turned away from my trusty balm due to its high price point, and with a lip balm habit like mine—it would put me in the poor house faster than a few mochas a day from Starbucks.” -Beauty Junkies Unite

3) Pixi Fairy Face Palette

“Tinkerbell was the muse for this spring line, but don’t let the packaging fool you, this line was made for us older ladies.  The pigments are great and very beautiful.  Great collection if you want something new but like to keep it neutral.” –Behind The Lashes

4) Neova Breakout Control Swabs

“These little swabs are perfect for unexpected pimples!  Simply snap it at the red line and use the swab to apply the solution, easy peasy!  Since the formula is rather thick I like to use it under my sunscreen during the day and under my moisturizer at night.” -Addicted to All Things Pretty

5) NP Set Glamorista Mascara

“Add mascara is exactly what I did with NP Set Glamorista mascara ($15). I’m already a big fan of Napoleon Perdis’ Target line, and this mascara sealed the deal. It’s got my #1 criteria for mascara; plastic bristles. But then it goes two steps further. The wand is flexible, so you can really wiggle it into your lashes. And the bristles are long on one side and short on the other. I used the long bristles to sweep it on, then the short side for the tips. Added bonuses, I got virtually no clumps, the formula feels moisturizing AND it smells sweet. LOVE this.” -We Heart This

6) Pixi Straight on till Morning Liner in 2nd Star Twinkle

“This Pixi eyeliner applies very smoothly and will literally last until the morning. I slept it in for a few hours (oops) and it didn’t smudge on me one bit.” -Handmade Reviews

7) Aveeno Positively Radiant Eye Illuminator

“You could really feel this penetrating and perking up tired under eyes.  Tip: Squeeze slow to distribute a little product at a time–a little goes a long way.” -Behind The Lashes

8) Oscar Blandi Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray and Oscar Blandi Dry Styling Heat Protect Spray

“There are hectic days when I don’t have time to wash my hair, and Oscar Blandi’s Pronto Invisible Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray comes to my rescue. It sprays on clear and the non-sticky texture is a joy to work with. I love the volumizing action as well – my hair looks and smells amazing. For those days where I do have time to primp my hair, I depend on the Pronto Dry Styling Heat Protect Spray to finish my hairstyling. It’s not sticky at all and the scent is lovely.” -fête à fête

9) Jemma Kidd i-Sculpt Shadow and Liner in Kings Road

“Lucky for us, British supermodel Jemma Kidd has brought all her beauty tips in her great make-up collection! With the JK I-Sculpt you can define and sculpt eyes for instant hi-glamour with this professional shadow and liner. Slanted liner for precision use and hi-payoff, conditioning cream shadow; sculpt your way to stand-out party eyes in an instant!” -Jacqueline Luxe

10) Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

“Nothing like a good makeup wipe to take off the day’s makeup or even just to freshen up.  These babies were great and got the job done and got it done quickly.  I also like that it didn’t feel heavy or like gel how some wipes can feel.” -Addicted to All Things Pretty
