Glam Girls: Chic in Cotton

By  August 01, 2012

I’m having a hard time believing it’s already August. At this point in the season I’m focussed on finding stylish staples that will enable us to seamlessly transition our wardrobe from summer to fall. What that requires a bit of forethought and fashion focus, it also necessitates the right fabrication. And  there is nothing better than cotton.

Glam recently hosted a photo shoot for five of our top style bloggers, who had the opportunity to try the season’s hottest dressed in pieces comprised of 70-100% cotton. Channing in the City, Haute Mimi, Court & Hudson, Tineey, and What the Frock were all clad in a series of fabulous looks. From denim and dresses to blazers and bags, these gals have some serious cotton cred.

After we wrapped, the “Glam Girls,” who worked tirelessly on the shoot took s minute to pose in their own cotton wares. Our amazing summer intern Lauren Kaplan rocked a Theory top and Zara shorts, while I opted for JBrand Jeans and a DKNY blazer. Our talented stylist Lindsey Simon embraced the open knit trend in a soft tribal print top, while Elizabeth Rice channeled an effortlessly chic aesthetic in a black tee and floral print skirt. Our assistant editor Valis Vicenty, who ensured every outfit arrived safely on set, wore a fun floral frock and Director of East Coast Sales Andrea Sexton went for a sleek and airy neutral top and white skinny jeans. Project manager Katie Stenson was perfectly polished and professional in a versatile sheath dress that is our idea of work attire done right.

After seeing the racks of peplum, prints, tweeds, lace, denim and canvas, we’re perpetually craving cotton confections!
