Elie Tahari is one of the American fashion industry’s most revered designers. Since opening his first boutique on Madison Avenue in 1974, Tahari has been creating clothing that conveys a sense of understated elegance and glamour. His company motto: “Clothing should be quieter than the woman so that her true beauty can shine through.” Tahari, who will show his Spring 2012 collection on Thursday, September 14th at Lincoln Center, took a break from designing to share his inspiration, favorite New York haunts, and the closet he covets!
