Good Taste, Great Style: Winter-Weather Warmth
By Cara Chronis
November 08, 2012
When the temperature dips below 50, it can be tempting to forgo fashion in favor of pure comfort and warmth. We found three street-style photos to help you change your mind—it’s possible to stay super warm while looking chic. 1. When all else fails and you’re still freezing, keep piling on layers. We love how Miu, a 21-year-old blogger from Stockholm, went with different textures like faux fur, leather, and knit. And she kept those layers all in the same color family with edgy coals and blacks. 2. Hats off to blogger Emmi, who’s rocking our favorite headwear trend this winter, the beanie! Beanies can be fashionable too: Emmi’s wearing a knit cap in what is undoubtedly the season’s hottest color—oxblood. Her all-black outfit gets a pop of color by way of a relaxed-yet-stylish way to keep warm. 3. Whether you call what she’s wearing a scarf, an infinity scarf, or a snood, we can all agree that blogger Maddy looks seriously warm and comfy. Her Navajo-print scarf looks fab paired with her denim, and it would look just as great with a leather jacket, an olive anorak, or a black peacoat.
