Katy Perry once again had everyone turning their heads to get a good look at her thematically appropriate Valentino gown at Sunday night’s Grammys. She paired the bold look with a softly sculpted bun crafted my Renato Campora and fresh makeup perfect for spring from her go-to makeup guru, Jake Bailey – both looks that are sure to be show-stopping come wedding season.
Campora crafted Perry’s show-stopping bun by blowing it out and adding texture with dry shampoo. He used bobby pins to secure strands around the crown as he twisted the ponytail around the base of the hair. The sky-high result was sleek and drew attention to her flawless face. A blend of BB cream and foundation smoothed and moisturized her skin, while a cat eye added a dose of drama. Bailey swiped a gold cream shadow into the crease of her eyelid and highlighted her lid with a white shadow. He did a bit of contouring using cream bronzer along the hairline and hollows of the cheeks. After applying a touch of highlighter on the cheekbones, tip of her nose and cupids bow, Bailey added a shimmery coral blush. He applied a pretty pink lipstick and topped it off with a balm. Manicurist Kimmie Kyees used a similar cotton candy pink shade for her mani.
