HBO Brings Vogue to the Small Screen with Anna Wintour

By  October 23, 2012

To coincide with Vogue’s 120th anniversary, editors both past and present will be the subjects of HBO’s newest documentary, In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye. The film draws on the publication’s vast archives and has Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington join fashion editors, celebrated Vogue subjects, and designers to share their experiences working with top photographers and image-makers of the day. Polly Allen Mellan, Babs Simpson, Tonne Goodman, Camilla Nickerson, Hamish Bowles, and Phyllis Posnick were among the many tastemakers that shaped the way the rest of the world saw fashion by positioning designers like Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang, Alber Elbaz, with stars like Nicole Kidman and Sarah Jessica Parker to create industry icons. “The people who are responsible for the fashion images are the fashion editors,” Wintour said. “ They have always been our secret weapon, so it seemed to me that we could could celebrate Vogue, and also, at the same time, celebrate these great editors.” While we’re not sure how far ahead you can set your DVR, you’ll definitely want to mark your calendar for this feature debut!

In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye will premiere on December 6th at 9:00 PM on HBO.
