There’s one person who won’t be moving back to Melrose Place — Heather Locklear.
The actress — who played the role of Amanda Woodward on the original series, which aired from 1992 to 1999 on Fox — has turned down an offer to join the cast of the updated version, her rep confirms to Usmagazine.com.
Locklear, 47, ended negotiations to join Melrose Place because “there wasn’t a way to bring her back that made sense,”
Entertainment Weekly reported.
The CW show, which is slated to premiere this fall, continues to add to its cast, which now includes Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Jessica Lucas (Cloverfield), Michael Rady (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) and Katie Cassidy (Supernatural).
Although producers had been aggressively pursuing Locklear, if they are still looking to include a star from the original in the upcoming series, former Melrose Place tenant Lisa Rinna recently told Us that she hopes to land a role.
