HGTV Design Star Is Back!

HGTV’s Design Star returns to the small screen for a seventh season on Tuesday, May 29, at 9 p.m. (8 p.m. C), filled with creativity, celebrity judges, and challenges.  The one-hour reality competition series is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for aspiring designers, stylists, and artists, as they compete to win their own HGTV show.  The series’ original winner, David Bromstad, returns  to  mentor the 12 competitive designers and host the creative competition. A slew of celebrity guests will stop by to judge the design challenges, including Kardashian mom Kris Jenner, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star and Emmy-winning actress Marg Helgenberger, Entertainment Tonight host Mark Steines, and—get this— Vanilla Ice. Did you realize the recording  artist is also a DIY Network home remodeling expert? Who knew! The Winning Design Star will be chosen by HGTV’s judging panel, which includes Vern Yip, Genevieve Gorder, and a few surprise celebrity guests.
