How to Scent the Scene for a Winter Party

By  December 05, 2013

So the table is set, the menu is planned, and the decor is ready. You’ve done everything to create a beautiful holiday party this winter, but how do you make it one to remember? Smell is the strongest sense tied to memory, so use the power of scent and emotion to make your gathering truly unforgettable.  Here are two of our favorite ways to “scent the scene” for your holiday fete.

1.    Set the Mood With a Festive Fragrance

Inspired by the best feelings of the season, the Glade® Winter Collection has your winter party covered. Light a Glade® candle one hour before your guests arrive and place it near the entryway of your home. Choose a fragrance that makes the most “scents” for your party: Apple Cinnamon Cheer™ and Sparkling Spruce™ are  fabulous  fragrances for any holiday gathering. Check out these scents we’re also loving for winter: Pure Vanilla Joy and Frosted Berry Kiss.

2.    Create Your Own Centerpiece

With candles serving as an illuminating focal point, create a vignette using seasonal props. Surround Apple Cinnamon Cheer™ with bright red apples and cinnamon sticks. If you are going with Sparkling Spruce™, add painted pinecones and tinsel to the table; for a crimson touch, surround Frosted Berry Kiss™ with bunches of fresh cranberries. The extra details will go a long way in making a spectacular impression.
