Raw meets regal. Rugged meets refined. Welcome to ICB Fall 2013, where effortlessness is tailored to perfection and sophisticated prints do the urban sophisticate justice. Creative director Prabal Gurung reflected the brand’s “witty and intelligent” front in its new campaign starring model Iselin Sterio as the ICB It girl. Of course, she’s packaged with an empire state of mind.
“The concept of the campaign was to place the ICB girl in her element, in an urban and modern space,” reads a statement from the Japanese brand. “The setting is a raw New York loft with hardwood floors and brick walls and large windows … [it] embodies the relaxed but chic urban lifestyle.” With her purposefully tousled tresses and downtown demeanor, this style heroine brings the Bowery to the boardroom in an instant, without looking out of place.
Longtime Gurung stylist Tiina Laakkone juxtaposed the made-up with the undone—perfect for the woman whose iCal is constantly buzzing—while photographer Mikael Jansson cemented the collaboration in a series of stills.
