1. The Teen Vogue Handbook: An Insider’s Guide to Careers in the Fashion Industry, $24.95

Granted, I left my teen years behind many, many (many) moons ago, but I’m still OBSESSED with this magazine. Imagine my delight when I learned that they’d be publishing a manual geared towards helping young girls break into the fashion industry. If only this had been around when I was in 10th grade… (BTW – it’s in stores on 10-5/2009!)

2. Chanel Mousse Exfoliante Pureté Exfoliating Cleansing Foam Purity + Anti-Pollution, $45

I’m iffy about exfoliating my face on a daily basis.  I was blessed with near perfect skin, so I don’t fully understand why I need to scrub it with walnut shells (or sand, salt, or sugar) to keep it that way… Chanel is soon to provide me with a happy medium—this gentle cleanser not only exfoliates (with beads!), it also helps halt aging in its tracks with its purifying ingredients Tulip Tree Extract and Bioglucane.

3. Dolce & Gabbana Intense Nail Lacquer in Ruby, $20

I’ll admit I’m going through a 40s femme fatale phase, as I keep gravitating towards crimson-color nail polish. Ever since I saw the eternally seductive Scarlett Johansson ad campaign for DG Beauty, I’ve been totally inspired to channel the look of screen sirens from yesteryear. While I can’t pull off a cropped platinum blonde coiff, I can paint the town red with my ruby nails.

4. Itty Bitty Strapless Bra in Black, $62

While there’s nothing itty or bitty about my titties, I relish the day that I am able to wear a strapless bra. When said day finally comes, I’ll turn to Itty Bitty Bras for support—pun intended. This demi-cut push-up number goes with absolutely everything, and comes in nude to boot. (OMG-I’m mentally building my skinny girl wardrobe already!)

5. BCBG Ebbe Cutout Bootie, $275

I’m a tad bit lazy when it comes to my personal style, so I look for pieces that are full of personality, and accessories that can carry an entire look on it’s own. These slip-on booties fit the bill—whether I throw them on with a flirty frock or a pair of denims and a silk tee, they scream badass meets ‘Oh—these old things?’.

6. Hervé Léger High-Waisted Bandage Mini Skirt, $600

I’ve lost 22 pounds so far (thanks to Weight Watchers!) and when I finally reach my goal, I’m buying myself one of these totally unforgiving, leave nothing to the imagination mini-skirts. I worked damn hard for it—what better way to show it off?

7. Leonor Greyl Masque Quintessence, $137.50

My hair goes through a lot of stress—between relaxing, extensions, and constant heat-styling, I need all the deep-conditioning treatments I can get. Thanks to the Cupuacu and Manketti Oil formula, this super nourishing pre-shampoo mask regenerates my overworked strands in 20 minutes flat.

8. Thymes Kimono Rose Candle, $25

One of my besties is having a daughter in November, so I’m on the lookout for psuedo-baby gifts. Having an awesome “auntie” like me is quite the coup for the little one; I’ll be sure to expose her to the finer things in life (beauty-related of course), starting with this rose, vanilla, and jasmine candle that’s sure to suit her personality to a tee: delicate, feminine, and beautifully bewitching. Just like her mother.
