According to a press release from Beauté Prestige International, it’s a big possibility, as the designer has signed to a joint venture with the company to distribute his fragrances and cosmetics. Though the partnership began in 2003 with the launch of For Her (which quickly became a classic among the chic set) both parties note there could be more in store for 2014 with the new consolidation agreement. “The formation of this joint venture consolidates the licensing agreement between the two companies and reinforces the successful and longstanding partnership between Narciso Rodriguez and BPI, poising the fragrance brand for continued growth with new projects planned for as early as 2014,” the statement read.
It would be a bold move if Rodriguez shifts to the other side of the beauty counter, following in the footsteps of the likes of Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, and Tom Ford. We can already see vibrant pops of red, navy, cerulean, and more pulled from his latest looks with oil slick-finished metallic and textured shadows, as well as a sharp liquid liner for the graphic conscious — all housed in sexy yet sensible packaging. Though we won’t know for sure without direct word, a girl can dream, can’t she?
