Scoring a piece from Isabel Marant’s collection for H&M wasn’t for the fate of heart. Even the editor’s shopping preview was mayhem that rivaled the most infamous of sample sales. Marant, the woman behind the much-hyped collection, couldn’t bear to check out the action in person.
Not that we could blame her.
“I couldn’t [go and look] it was too much for me,” Marant told Women’s Wear Daily at the opening at her new London store. “I think this kind of collaboration, it’s nice to do it maybe once every ten years,” she told the fashion trade paper.
Smart woman. We don’t know that we (or our wallets) could take another Isabel Marant collaboration any time soon.
