And the jeans stand-alone. Well, not quite—J Brand is set to launch its first stand-alone shops in 2014!
The first stores will open in Los Angeles and then in New York in 2014. The funding for this came from a $290 million investment from Fast Retailing Company earlier this year. But don’t expect to see your average shop with a impressive denim department. No, no, J Brand’s CEO Jeff Rudes has a special vision in mind for the spaces.
“It’s a little off the beaten path. We’re around very cool brands that have profitable stores,” he told Vogue UK. “We don’t believe you have to be on a cool street like Melrose Place to create an image and make money.”
Sounds cool, right?
