Jesse Draper Pairs Pink With Purpose On Katie Couric’s Show

By  February 19, 2014

JesseDraperKatieValley Girl Jesse Draper stole our hearts when she revealed to us just how much she loved the color pink. And since then, this Glam contributing writer, who’s responsible for our “First Fridays” installation, has only impressed us even more with her passion for learning and discovery. On top of conducting interviews with our generation’s top influencers, CEOs and visionaries (and writing about them on Glam!) Draper made time for a sit-down with Katie Couric on her Tech Tuesday segment of Katie to talk about all things tech.

Wearing a hot pink blouse and a very recognizable skirt, Draper’s appearance on the show proves just how informed and influential she has become. The newspaper-print skirt made history at New York Fashion Week because it was worn by disabled model, Danielle Sheypuk, at the Carrie Hammer runway show. As Draper put it, Hammer used “role models” in her show because, “she’s all about the clothes fitting women, as opposed to women fitting into the clothes.” And with that, it’s clear that Draper is all about women making smart choices in fashion and business, and all realms in between. Props to this Valley Girl for making such a statement with her fashion choice and debuting it (not to mention her smarts) on-air with the legendary Katie Couric. Bravo, Jesse!
