Jessica-Alba-2014-Met-Gala-Get-the-Beauty-LookJessica Alba nailed her Met Gala red carpet look from head-to-toe with the help of Diane Von Furstenberg, celebrity hairstylist Davy Newkirk and Avon global makeup artist Lauren Andersen. Her elegant goddess-like dress inspired a modern updo and a fresh, luminous makeup look that allowed her to really glow at the Gala.

For hair, Newkirk first applied John Frieda Frizz Ease Curl Reviver Mousse throughout Jessica’s wet hair. Then, he used a large round brush and hairdryer to provide structure. He went for an extreme side part and worked his way around her head, curling small sections using a 3/4-inch barrel iron. Next, Newkirk brushed the curls out with a flat brush and applied Secret Wearpon Touch-up Crème for a smooth and shiny texture. He rolled up sections from ear to ear, along the bottom edge of the hairline and secured the style with bobby pins and Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hairspray.

Lauren Andersen created a monochromatic look with gold pigments. She began with Koh Gen Doh Foundation and Kevyn Aucoin Concealer, and then dusted Alba’s skin with Celestial Powder in Candlelight to highlight the bridge of the nose. She finished the skin with Lorac Mineral Powder on the cheeks. Andersen used Votre Vu Arch de Triumph Brow Definer to define the eyebrows and then blended Avon’s Eye Dimensions Eyeshadow in Khaki Chic on the lids to create a golden look. Next, she layered on the same shadow in the Bronze Star shade for depth. Andersen lined the eyes with SuperShock Gel Eyeliner in Black and finished the yes with Mega Effects Mascara. To complete the look, she applied Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick in Caramel Comfort to the lips.
