During the summertime, Central Park becomes home to joggers, bikers and sunbathers, but on June 4, Jessica and Jerry Seinfeld reminded us that it’s most fit for families. The pair hosted the Baby Buggy Bedtime Bash, New York City’s biggest family charity event. The non-profit organization is dedicated to providing families in need with essential equipment, products, clothing and services for their infants and children up to age 14. Supporters of the organization, including Bridget Moynahan, Jane Krakowski, Chanel Iman, Rebecca Minkoff and Rebecca Taylor, were all in attendance—with their children in tow.
The festivities featured carnival rides, face painting and specially curated kid-friendly activities for over 1,000 attendees. At this year’s event, Baby Buggy welcomed many fathers and children from Bronx Fatherhood Program as VIP guests. The program provides the fathers enrolled with counseling and training to become strong and stable caregivers for their children. Jessica Seinfeld, with a brand new cropped ‘do (which she said was completely “impulsive”), was excited to get out into the park to see the families enjoy the event and watch parents “spend time with their children in a really fun environment.” As the mom of three spent the evening enjoying the festivities (read: running around trying to find her children), Baby Buggy managed to raise over $585,000.
