Jewel and Baby Buggy Join Forces to Help Expecting Mothers

By  June 28, 2011

Singer and mommy-to-be Jewel has partnered with Bravado! Designs to provide at-risk mothers throughout her home state of Texas with the supplies needed to breastfeed their children.

With her help, 2,600 nursing bras and tank tops have been donated to Baby Buggy, an organization which provides families in need with products, clothing, and educational services for moms and children. Baby Buggy’s program partner Nurse-Family Partnership supplies the products to low-income first-time mothers, and will distribute the bras and tank tops in the Dallas area.

Jewel thanked Bravado! Designs for working on this opportunity to make a difference in the lives of new mothers by helping them breastfeed their little ones. “Through this affiliation, I am able to provide quality products and necessary services to support at-risk mothers who struggle to provide the best possible future for their babies,” she said.

Baby Buggy was excited about the large donation that would help so many families that don’t have access to these types of products. “This is a classic example of how a philanthropic partnership should work: a generous donor, a terrific corporate partner to help the people who need it most, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the community, “ said Jessica Seinfeld, Founder of Baby Buggy. “We are extremely grateful for Jewel  and Bravado!’s support of our programs.”
