The third time was apparently the charm for Jil Sander. She left her namesake brand for the third time in October for personal reasons—it looks like that move was final considering the company just brought on a new creative director!

Rodolfo Paglialunga is Jil Sander’s new man. He’ll present his spring 2015 collection in September.

“I’m deeply honored to have the opportunity to take on this role,” Paglialunga said. “I have boundless admiration for the brand as I strongly believe in its pure vision and values. My aim is to carry forward the fusion between sophistication, luxury, and innovation and bring the house [to] the next level.”

“He is the most fitting designer to write the new pages of the Jil Sander story,” chief executive officer Alessandro Cermonesi told Women’s Wear Daily. “He is has the right characteristics and experience to evolve the Jil Sander brand in a new direction while respecting its essential traits.”

Before joining Jil Sander, Paglialunga worked with Romeo Gigli in the early 90s. He started at Prada in 1996, working his way up to become the women’s wear design director. He worked as Vionnet’s creative director before leaving the company in 2011.

Congrats! We can’t wait to see his first offerings in September.
