Joe Mimran Brings a “Fresh” Flagship to Fifth Ave.

On the corner of Manhattan’s 43rd Street and Fifth Avenue rests fashion’s latest triumphant — and tangerine — import: a Joe Fresh flagship. The Canadian chain, known for its stylish clothing that pops (literally), has three stateside stores, and now, a double-decker flagship, whose opening last week was feted with spicy cocktails and price tags that made our hearts melt.

Joe Mimran — perhaps the most important man in Canadian fashion, the force behind Club Monaco, and the husband of Pink Tartan designer Kimberley Newport-Mimran — gave a welcoming speech at the opening of the affordable clothing behemoth, wearing a pop of orange, of course. Attendees included supermodel Jessica Stam, brunette and preen in a pleated number from Chloé, and New York City mayor, Michael Bloomberg. Aside from the inaugural “Fresh Spice” cocktail, $100 gift card giveaways, and the amazing redesign of the 1954 Manufacturers Trust Company Building space, what was really cause for celebration was the prices for a piece of Joe Fresh.

Skinnies covered the entire color spectrum ran and fit like a glove. There were classic men’s polos, silk tops, hooded anoraks, contrast wedges, nail polishes, face palettes, and just about every piece of merchandise to perk you up for spring.
