One of the biggest problems I had when I started in the beauty game was foundation. What shade was right for me? How much am I supposed to put on? Where on my face do I stop? With plenty of bad images that continue to haunt my MySpace, I learned the hard way that foundation is a handy tool if you know how to use it.
Luckily, I’m not alone in this. According to a survey conducted by Make Up For Ever and the NPD Group, 73 percent of women say it’s challenging to find the right foundation. 54 percent said that the right shade eludes them as 72 percent admitted to not switching their shade seasonally. Out of the women surveyed, 62 percent admitted having problems with the makeup must, many stemming from the fact that 52 percent don’t use a brush or sponge to apply the product.
Make Up For Ever to the rescue! Thanks to the results, the beauty brand will host more than 100 events at Sephora stores in the U.S. and Canada running from September 20th-October 5th to help women put their best faces forward. The brand’s artist will be on-hand for complimentary 15-minute lesson, including diagnosing, their foundation issue, teaching them proper application techniques, and recommending the right foundation and shade for their skin tone and type.
For those who can’t make it to the events can follow along from the comfort of their couch with a series of video tutorials and a complexion quiz. To find out where you can stop in for a quick lesson, please visit MakeUpForEverUSA.com.
