Juliette Has a Gun Anyway, The Outfit Equivalent

 Juliette-Has-a-Gun-Anyway,-The-Outfit-Equivalent

On Thursday afternoon, I pulled on my leather gloves and ventured into the New York cold, on a mission to get to know the newest scent from super-chic Parisian brand, Juliette Has a Gun: Anyway. Paul’s Baby Grand in the TriBeCa Grand Hotel set the scene as Romano Ricci—he’s the grandson of L’air Du Temps perfumes’ Robert Ricci and Nina Ricci’s great-grandson—told me his inspiration for his latest creation.

“For once, I was searching for simplicity… a perfume that was neither too sophisticated nor overly imposing,” Ricci said. “Something delicious that you’d want to wear all day long.” And that won’t be hard, considering that the fragrance is equal parts girly and sexy, yet fun, thanks to the blend of musks, woods, and citrus notes. In short, it’s the scent equivalent of what I hope my personal style is. Just to be clear, I asked Ricci, what the outfit equivalent would be and he answered, “It’s absurd—don’t take yourself to seriously.” Just as I figured, Anyway, is about expressing however you feel in the moment.

With that, I would like to introduce you to another edition of Fragrance Friday, the fashion version. Presenting Anyway, the outfit equivalent.
