Kanye West Turns Controversy Into Couture
By Valis Vicenty
May 05, 2011
Kanye West ruffled many feathers last year after using a George Condo painting as the banned cover art of his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. He collaborated with M/M (PARIS) to create hand-drawn ornamented frames to complement the controversial painting and others from Condo based on West’s musical fantasy characters. In lieu of letting the good art go to waste, the combinations were transformed into limited edition silk twill scarves; only 100 units will be available. As art and controversy go hand-in-hand, we’re sure these will sell out soon. The scarves will be available May 9th at MMParis.com for 250€.
