Calling all personal style enthusiasts! Have you ever seen someone walking down the street and wished that you could immediately have every. single. thing. they were wearing? Actress Kate Bosworth is making that possible with her new app, Style Thief.
“Everyone has fashion envy,” Bosworth told Women’s Wear Daily. Everyone can relate to the feeling of looking at an editorial, for example—or a friend, or the runway, for that matter—wanting to steal something exactly as your seeing it, or something similar.”
Enter Style Thief, a partnership between retail chain American Rag Cie, Ian Aaron, the former president of Gemstar-TV Guide Interactive, Bosworth and her business partner Samantha Russ, that lets people snap a photo, do an image search for a fashion item and “buy it through a couple of clicks.”
This isn’t Bosworth’s first foray into the fashion industry, if you recall, in 2010, she worked with MySpace cofounder Josh Berman and Diego Berdakin to launch and create JewelMint. Though she is no longer with the company, she has gone on to design two capsule collections for Topshop. The face of SK-II also let it slip that she is working on a new collection with an as-of-yet unidentified Los Angeles-based brand.
No doubt, the collection will be full of stylish pieces worth stealing!
