After 21 years of creating cheeky ready-to-wear and accessories, Kate Spade is launching swimwear!
The company that brought you bathing suits for fashionable brands Michael Kors, Carmen Marc Valvo and Proenza Schouler, Swimwear Anywhere, will also manufacture Kate Spade’s 2015 Cruise collection.
“This is such a fun opportunity to bring glamour back to the beach,” said Deborah Lloyd, Kate Spade’s CEO and president. “I am constantly inspired by the glamour that women brought to the beach in the Fifties and Sixties.”
When the collection soft launches during Miami Swim Week, it will include 70 pieces: 52 mix-and-match separates, 12 one pieces and cover ups like pleated skirts. The signature bow will appear on zippers and on mallets for some of the suits.
Kate Spade Swim will officially launch in New York this August, landing in stores this November. Prices will range from $120 to $200.
Just in time to–remixing Mr. Carter, here–bring Kate Spade to the beach because their suits are better.
