It’s hard to top gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, but 2013 is looking pretty bright for Kate Upton. On top of her steamy Superbowl commercials, the model will star in Sam Edelman‘s new digital and print advertising campaign which starts today and will run for six months, reports WWD.
She was chosen, according to Sam Edelman, because she isn’t “stick thin.” “She’s beautiful and all-American.” The love fest doesn’t stop there. Kate gushed over Edelman’s shoes, saying, “I’ve loved Sam Edelman’s shoes for a long time so shooting the ad campaign was a lot of fun for me.”
The best news? There could easily be a larger collaboration in store for Upton and Edelman if the ads are received well. And how could they not be, thanks to the artistic black and white, old Hollywood film? Definitely a different feel from the last campaign shot with French IT girl, Charlotte Kemp Muhl.
Keep your eyes out for a video that is supposed to accompany the campaign. With Upton’s penchant for going viral, we’d expect nothing less from her new campaign.
