Yesterday while we were caught up in the rapture of Marc Jacobs leaving Louis Vuitton and his subsequent swan song for the fashion house that for once, all eyes were on the clothing and not the model wearing them.
Perhaps that’s how we missed Edie Campbell leading the show in an oversized feather headdress, stripped bare save for fine glitter mimicking Jacobs’ very first artist collaboration with Stephen Sprouse. Or Eva Herziogva, Natasha Poly, and most surprisingly, swimsuit model, Kate Upton.
Sports Illustrated’s November cover girl—wearing clothes this time around—perched on Jacobs’ carousel during the presentation before posing briefly in front of his fountain marking her fashion month runway debut.
Not a bad way for the model of the year to be introduced to fashion week, eh?
