The new line is slated to build on the Curve ID jeans that fit the actual shape of a woman’s body along with her waist and inseam measurements – all with a new proprietary liquid shaping technology. In lieu of using interior panels to shape the body, cotton, polyester, Lycra, and DuPont’s Sorona fiber comprise the four-way stretch fabric that imprints a formula in the fabric’s interior to regulate stretching for a more shapely silhouette.
To heighten the effects on the new line’s jeans, Levi’s turned to Kevyn Aucoin’s makeup books to engineer seams and finishing details like whiskering to create longer, leaner stems. “We looked at [late makeup artist] Kevyn Aucoin’s books and how he made cheekbones look higher or noses look smaller,” Jill Guenza, Levi’s vice president of women’s design, told Women’s Wear Daily. “The seams we applied to our jeans act in concert to make the leg look longer and slimmer, the seat perkier and to move the eye away from the hips.”
The jeans will hit brick and mortar stores nationwide in August to help you choose the right ones!
