Kiehl’s Since 1851 is Launching a Spa!

By  June 28, 2011

Next month, New York City’s Upper East Side neighborhood will be home Spa 1851, the first full-service, vintage apothecary-themed, unisex spa from Kiehl’s Since 1851.

“Our customers have asked us about opening a spa for years, and in this monumental year, as we celebrate 160 years, it’s fitting that we’re finally able to offer New Yorkers unique skin and body treatments using their favorite Kiehl’s ingredients,” says Chris Salgardo, President of Kiehl’s USA. “Actually being able to use our formulas in a full spa environment is the ultimate way to experience Kiehl’s.”

On the 2nd floor of a brand new, free-standing Kiehl’s store, a full-range of hair, skin, and body treatments will be offered in three intimate service rooms or a two-chair grooming salon. Enter through a private entrance and check in with concierge. While waiting for your treatment, lounge in an eco-friendly robe and browse the web on an iPad.

At the start of every scheduled service—all of which are customized and tailored to each customer, enjoy the Kiehl’s Signature Welcome, a mini lavender oil massage to prep the skin and stimulate circulation. Treatments will incorporate a few of Kiehl’s iconic collections, namely Ultra Facial Collection, Creme de Corps, and Facial Fuel.

In addition to the Kiehl’s Signature Facial, standout services include the Micro-Dermabrasion exfoliating peel and the Micro Current Stimulation skin revitalizing anti-aging facial. Each treatment is accompanied by an indulgent mini chest, shoulder, neck, and scalp massage, followed by an Argan Oil hand treatment. As for prices, a mustache trim will cost a mere $15, but the Ultra Kiehl’s Body Restoration service will set you back $330. (But we’re sure it’s worth every penny.)

Spa 1851 will be located at 157 East 64th Street (on the corner of Lexington). Dial 888.SPA.1851 to book your appointment, or head over to Kiehls.com for more information.
