There’s no question Kristin Chenoweth is a pint-sized powerhouse on stage and off, especially in a room full of costumed characters. But she also has a wealth of sound style advice. At the Chris March for Target launch, the Glee star shared her love of Louboutins, as well as Halloween costume styling tips, which is surprising given the alternative occupation she had in mind (which is perfect for this time of year). Check out what she had to say below:

Your shoes are amazing! Who designed them?

Aren’t they great! It seemed like the right event to wear them to. They’re Louboutins, and I knew when I got them that they were going to be a big splurge, but I thought, “How could I not? They have my name all over them!” They’re faux fur, but they’ve got these cute peacock feathers in them. I had to do it.

Since we’re all about wigs tonight, which one from the collection is your favorite?

I’ll be wearing one on Halloween; I’ve got a big party to go to! I’ll be wearing the pink one because it’s easy to go with the blonde starlet, but I realized that’s already the life I live, and the pink is just too fun.

What is your advice for those having trouble with costume ideas?

It can be so hard, especially if you don’t like to repeat costumes. It can be so expensive every year. If you need to save, I would say invest in a wig. Invest in a wig, and then you can get creative with the rest of the costume.

If you weren’t an entertainer, what would be your dream job?

I’ve thought about this a lot actually. I would want to be a forensic scientist. I like to solve puzzles, they’re fun to me. I’m not always good at it, but I like to do them. I also don’t get grossed out with blood and guts, and stuff, so it works out.
