Ladies in Red at the 63rd Emmy Awards

Red is reigning supreme at fall’s hottest hue. And on Sunday evening, stars hit the red carpet at the 2011 Emmy Awards in crimson confections. Here are some of our favorite actresses in the night’s bold color choice:

Who: Glee’s Lea Michele
What She Wore: Marchesa. While we hoped Michele would wear a Jason Wu creation after sitting front row at his show, we’re happy to wait for the Golden Globes to see her wow in Wu.

Who: Kate Winslet
What She Wore: Winslet, who was nominated for her work on Mildred Pierce, wore a cap-sleeve cherry red Elie Saab gown

Who: Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara
What She Wore: Vergara sizzled in a custom coral  one-shouldered Vera Wang  dress and Stuart Weitzman heels. Vergara, who knows how to bring the sexy, has recently launched her new line at K-mart.

Who: Kerry Washington
What She Wore: Washington presented in a cherry Zuhair Murad strapless gown with a silk tulle skirt and hand embroidered red pearls.
