Lady Gaga Explains Failed Collaboration With Kendrick Lamar

Earlier this year, Lady Gaga announced she’d be collaborating with the newest, hottest rapper on the scene, Kendrick Lamar. But she was nowhere to appear on his debut album, released last month. Miss Gaga has released a letter explaining why the musical duo never ended up working together, blaming the outcome on differentiating visions between herself and Kendrick’s team. She also posted a video of Kendrick’s track, “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe,” with her vocals on the track. It’s a hot mess, so we can see why things didn’t work out. Gaga ends the letter, stating, “I love you, and think you should check out his stuff because he is truly great.”

And Gaga’s right. Kendrick’s first album, “good kid, m.A.A.d city,” was great. It got awesome reviews, proving he’s a talented rapper who’s here to stay.
