Lancôme’s Newest Luxuries Are Worth a Share!

Looks like signing Lupita Nyong’o was just the tip of the iceberg in regards to what Lancôme has up its sleeve.

Aside from its French Riviera-inspired summer collection, which features the bolt of blue we predicted would be all the rage, the beauty brand has tapped three Parisian designers to craft couture Lancôme-inspired handbags. Called Nouvelle Vague by Lancôme, each was tasked to craft a purse that that utilized the brand’s signature rose somehow in their design.

Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus crafted a minimalist pastel pink carry pouch made of waterproof cotton that transforms into an evening bag. Alexandre Vauthier took a more art deco approach, using the brand’s lacquered packaging to create a rectangular clutch that comes with a chain that has a similar look and feel to his Unfolder 7 design. And Yiqing Yin took an abstract approach with her meteorite-inspired multipurpose bag that comes wrapped in a broad-weft silk crepe in lame with a mirror inside! If you want a bit of this beauty collab, it will cost $550 for Jacquemus’s double duty bag and $1300 for Yin and Vauthier’s creative clutches.

So how is Lancôme spreading the word about its plans? The makeup masters are launching a new loyalty program to score points through social media. The Lancôme Elite Rewards will offer 10 points for every dollar spent in store and online in return for private beauty consultations, all-inclusive spa visits, and a chance to go behind the scenes at New York Fashion Week. You can really up your chances and rake in the points by connecting with the brand on its Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Foursquare and featuring a product on your feeds or watching online beauty tutorials.

As if we need any excuse to share our beauty hauls any more, now we’ll be able to share it spilling out of pretty new pocketbooks!
