Leona Lewis is raising her voice for cruelty-free beauty.
The U.K. X Factor winner and The Body Shop have joined forces to ask you to take the pledge to support Cruelty Free International’s initiative to ban on animal testing for cosmetic purposes. Don’t worry, they’ve made it easy for you, since you can pledge in store on May 15th or you can shop Lewis’ limited-edition makeup and fragrance collection. It consists of two shimmer palettes, four lips glosses, synthetic blusher brush and White Musk Libertine, a fragrance that comes as an eau de toilette and an eau de parfum.
Lewis has taken the cause to heart, driving everything to take a closer look at what’s in their cosmetics case. “I’m passionate about beauty, and I’m all about animal rights and Community Fair Trade,” Leona told Women’s Wear Daily. “The fact is that there are alternative tests that are far more superior to testing on animals. It’s a cruel, barbaric and an unnecessary process. This cruelty can end if we speak out loud enough and I urge everyone to sign this pledge.”
The line will be available March 26 in-store and at TheBodyShop-USA.com $10.60 – $24.25.
