#LFW: Masculine Military Mingles with Studiously Sexy at Irwin & Jordan

Rarely do celebrities turn up at a designer’s very first runway show, but when you’re Zoe Jordan, the likes of Natalie Imbruglia and Poppy Delevigne are on hand to show their unwavering support from the front row. And it’s not much of a wonder why, especially if the stunning Autumn/Winter 2011 Irwin & Jordan collection is any indication.

While army green and navy were her hues of choice, bursts of poppy red, milky white, and sparkly silver brought a bit of light into the expertly tailored masculine-meets-feminine collection. There also was an artful mixture of textures, like French lace, wool, tweed, sequins, and leather. And not surprisingly, all of the pieces proved to be comfortably chic, incredibly wearable, and perfectly transitional from day-to-night. Our favorites? The silver sequined floor-length skirt, the khaki satin cargo shorts, the slouchy silk parka, the body-skimming cocktail dress, and the three-piece navy suit. We can’t wait to see what she shows for Spring 2012.
