She never imagined that she would end up at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The girl from the small island of Corsica got her start in the blogging biz as a creative outlet for her love of fashion and to connect with others who shared her passion. Glam got the chance to chat with the stylishly laid-back lady in the American Express Skybox after the Badgley Mischka Fall 2012 show to find out what’s the most inspiring hotspot in New York and her personal style staple for Fashion Week.
How have you been holding up with Fashion Week?
How many shows have you been to so far and how many do you plan to go to?
I don’t know I’ve been to maybe twelve different shows. I’ll maybe go to five or six more, I’m not sure exactly.
What’s one of your style staples you have on hand for Fashion Week?
I think a very good stiletto – like a very pointy one. I think it makes everything look fantastic.
What is the chicest place in New York?
The chicest place in New York for me is the bar in the Carlisle, [Bemelman’s Bar]. The bar at the Carlisle with the beautiful paintings— When I go there, I think, “That’s the nerve, that’s the dream.”
If you weren’t involved in fashion, what would your career choice be?
It’s not too far away from clothes, but I think I would go into design, like apartments, and be a decorator or something like that.
